No frills restaurant but yes full of taste. Imagine even the veg was yumm..known specially for their kaachi biryani. The veg biryani was yummyyyy too. The butter chicken was orange in colour and as bright as an orange heh n creamyyy. Overall its eat n gooo kinda restaurant
Visited on Poila Boishakh 2017, this restauranthad a pretty delectable platter to offer. Just a stone throw distance from the Rockdale train station this joint provides you with an authentic Indo-Bangladeshi experience. Try the Beef Bhuna with Naan from the non-veg platter which by me is quite impressive. The menu offers a wide array of veg & non-veg options catering to all taste buds. Though the ambiance doesn’t deserve a special mention in this review was fine considering the limited time we spent there. The staff was cordial and the order serving time quick.
Food is ok but service is horrible. There is one girl there with heavy eye make up, and a bad attitude. If your in the food Industry mate, you gotta tone down your attitude! Had to wait 40 minutes for a simple take away last time. Maybe needs a change in staff.P.s. Ordered roast chicken and was told they are out of pulao. Who eats roast chicken without pulao ?
me and my friends ordered biriyani with lamb takeaway, waiting 30 minutes for the food to come out with so little customer in restaurant, the lamb was the worse i had ever have, look like it was cooked and recook 5 times, black too welldone and taste like rubber , the service is shit as well, not even a smile on their face.not even worth it and definitely will tell anyone to stay away
Pretty great first Bangladeshi experience. Had the vortas, lamb feet, goat and a couple of desserts. Would have preferred it spicier but overall pretty great for the price. Desserts too sweet, not really for me, tastes kind of like milk powder. Friends loved it
Hut bazaar is one of the oldest Bangladeshi restaurants in Sydney. This restaurant is quite popular among the Bangladeshi and Indian community of Sydney. There is also a function centre that you can book for parties and special occasions. We ordered the kachchi biriyani (mutton), chicken bhuna khichdi and chicken jhal fry. The biriyani had the traditional kalijeera rice but was a bit overcooked. The mutton pieces were very well done. The khichdi was quite delicious with rice, lentils and chicken pieces. It was not stodgy and I found it to be very flavourful. My pick of the meal was the chicken jhal fry – tender pieces of chicken in a tomato based gravy. I would have liked it to be a little spicier; however, the combination of the gravy with the khichdi was sensational.Overall, a lovely meal.
First time having Bengali food. Service was good. Food was ok. The goat dish was the best out of all (first from the left) the butter chicken was a bit too sweet for my taste buds and the daal needed more something to it (butter/seasoning)
