Salad was fresh, bread was great and service friendly. But that’s the end of the positives ..I got the single adana shish roll with salad & garlic sauce; the worst part of the experience was the long fair hair in my roll – ewwww. The food seemed overpriced (we have had MUCH better kebabs elsewhere for less $$, ie. a double meat roll for the same price as the single at this place – and the double roll here is nearly double the price of the single) – my companions got plates of beef & rice with garlic sauce and they were not impressed with the quality of the meat at all, said it tasted like cheap sausage, and the rice tasted like it was microwaved in plastic. I also noticed that the employee making pide had a bandaid on her finger, and no gloves 🙁 Heeeeyyyyy guys – it’s not that hard to wear gloves!! Seriously! I guess I should be glad I only got a hair in my food, and not a stray, preloved bandaid! Wouldn’t bother returning, although all the faults with this place could be fixed easily in one day – they certainly have some things right. So I hope their next guests find it improved and hair-free!
By far my favourite and in my opinion the greatest Kebab shop in the Sydney region if not, the world. The food here is absolutely delightful and successfully epitomizes the Turkish Kebab shop vibe. As well as great food, great company is provided by the owner and manager of the store Saleh/Sam. I am greeted like/as a brother every time i walk into the doors. As well as this, one fabled night, Sam sat with me and my brethren to ensure that we were enjoying our meals. His company made a huge difference to what we were already experiencing.
Bought the large snack pack. Everything was cooked well and was given generous portions. The staff were extremely polite and friendly! Would definitely recommend if you are hungry on a cold night and on a budget!
We were welcomed to this place with a friendly greeting and ordered a mixed halal snack pack (HSP) with cheese, garlic sauce, hummus sauce and barbecue sauce. The serving size was very generous and worth the cheap price of $12. The meat and chips were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We also received a free drink! This is definitely one of the best places within the St George area to purchase a HSP!
Went there yesterday to grab a pizza on the recommendation of a friend. This looks like one of the many kebab shops you find throughout the city but you only get to know that it’s more than that once you enter.I ordered a small chicken pizza and it was such a sweet deal for $10. It was pretty far from authentic but boy was it tasty. But what looked really appetising was their charcoal kebabs. I wasn’t too hungry but definitely plan to make my way through their entire menu.Cheers!
Kebabs are truly a glorious food. A good kebab satiates like nothing else! King of kebabs makes an insanely good kebab…. The best, I would implore, in the entire south of Sydney. The warmth, the juiciness, the deep richness of the meat’s flavour work in a perfect mutually beneficial relationship to create what is one of the most gorgeous flavours around! Nothing beats $5 Wednesdays, where a large beef slice of paradise is yours for such a small amount of money.
This was the first restaurant I dined in, during my visit to Sydney. It was pretty close to where I was staying at that time.Very few vegetarian options. Can’t really complain about it, due to Australia being a primarily meat eating country. I ordered the vegetarian pizza, since that was the only vegetarian dish that caught my eye. The staff members really helped me decide, and were kind enough to make suggestions due to me being a newbie. The pizza was pretty good in terms of both taste and quantity. I did feel it was slightly overpriced, even by Australian standards. You can get better food elsewhere. Of course, this being a non-vegetarian joint, my judgement may not really be accurate. The overall experience was pretty decent. Food – 4/5Ambiance – 3/5Service – 4/5Value for money – 3/5Hygiene – 4/5Overall – 4.5/5
