Last week we had a craving for rice and something spicy. So headed to this place. The restaurant had couple of customers and all where feasting !!! So we ordered a chicken biryani and fish Thali. The Chicken biryani came in quite fast.. So we digged in and it has a weird after taste. I guess cumin or coriander seeds were over powering the entire flavor. chicken pieces were tasty. so not entirely disappointed.. Then let’s talk about the Fish Thali and the main ingredients was awful. tasted like fish stocked from last century. The dal was okay, and the potatoe based curry was hopeless. There was one papad and it had so much oil that I could make a dish out of it. To be really honest the only tasty piece of food was Rasagulla(and you know why it’s good!!)
What a interesting meal. Ordered Lamb choyela. It had these rice flakes in our meal instead of rice. It’s tastes ok but prefer rice. The vege Thalia was smaller than expected, just 2 curries. One tasted funny and the other didn’t have much taste Fried momos, some were hot,sum were just warm but standard stuff Both dishes were small in size Food took a while to come out and prices are reasonable. Doubt will be back,it was a different experience but not for our taste buds
One of the worst Nepalese food I had here .. Ordered for a non veg thali for $15. Plus $3 for extra rice .And what u get is a little three spoon of rice .. 3 leaves of spinach and a small bowl of non veg gravy with two small pieces of meat..Not enough to fill even a small kid .. Dull ambience .. Nepalese restaurants in the Auburn suburbs are far better in terms of cost and quality ..
Polite and friendly service from the waitress. Food was great and very filling. We paid $15 each for our main which was very reasonable. They ran out of chicken tandoori which is my favourite but the goat and lamb sets were fantastic.
No more buses to Kathmandu.. When you see an almost empty restaurant on Saturday night that should be your alarm bell! Well, me and my wife didn’t listen to that bell and regretted later. There was only one more table occupied and we ordered a goat from Sekuwa Set and tandoori chicken. The food arrived after around half an hour which was ridiculous speed considering an empty restaurant. Food, although not terrible, was below average – tasteless, burnt and ingredients seemed to be a few days old. Service was OK but not great. I also ordered a Hot Lemon. Not sure if that’s traditional Nepalese drink but I felt like drinking a hot wee. I almost vomitted. I could not taste any lemon there! The place was stuffy as the owner apperently tried to save some money on aircon even though it was a hot day. Overall very depressing place with no spirit and food taste below food-court level. To summarize, I’m not catching this bus anymore and don’t recommend to anyone.
Food was just like being in Nepal! Very fresh and tasty! I’ll be back!
