Best view to eat a meal. Went for breakfast today which was very pleasant . Had the railway style bread omelette, very different choice and had lots of delicious flavour. Coffee was so so, but food always good.

I was excited to try here for a while however I won’t be back.. Food and dcor wasnice but the experience wasextremely disappointing! When we arrived there was confusion with our table and we were put in the back of the restaurant even though I’d asked for special seating on bookingas it had been a romantic date. We then were moved to the front after asking staff several times. Ordering two mojitos the cocktails were below average I then ordered two gin and tonics with two arriving with very little ice and almost half fullyet I was charged for both separate tonics although the mixer was flat and from a large bottle it seemed! The waiters were not the friendliest. The banquet wasgood valuehowever once 10.30pm came we were basically kicked out of the place and asked to leave as it was closing time. 10.30pm on a Saturday evening AND actually being asked to leave before we had evenfinished our meal and drinksis completely unacceptable. The pressure was put on us to leave straight away after spending a lot of money. To me, that is a hospitality NO NO! I won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend to friends or colleagues!
Amazing Indian food with a beautiful view. The menu is a huge as my appetite when I know that we are heading there for dinner. I love all the options but we will usually grab the chicken tikka masala and the Indian beer that they are serving at the time. If you can score a table outside you will be treated to an amazing harbour view. They do takeaway and the food is just as tasty when heading home to curl on the couch and binge some Netflix or Stan.
I do like Jewel of India. When it was still open in Mascot, I would visit their take away shop at for work lunches. I have now been to their Rose Bay restaurant a couple of times. The restaurant is set in a nice location across from the water. The service was decent whenever I have visited. The food here is delicious, all of the curries I have tried were nice. I enjoyed the crispy pappadums, the naan is soft with a nice fluffy texture. The portions are a little small and the price is a little high, but then again you must think of the location. Particularly nice is the butter chicken and tandoori grill plate is a good share dish. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
Jewel on the Bay has a beautiful view. I came here on a gorgeous day for breakfast and it was so enjoyable. Staff were friendly and the perfect amount of attentiveness. The breakfast was nice and simple. I had eggs toast and avo. I would love to try one of the traditional Indian breakfasts next time to really get a taste for their cuisine.
I can’t really comment on anything but the papadams, which seemed fresh. This is because after being seated & subsequently overhearing a neighbouring table complain to staff about the delay in receiving their meals (1 hour since ordering & no sign of any food), we decided to cut our losses & leave. This came on the back of having an 8pm booking, but being asked to return at 8:30, as the table wasn’t ready. That said, it is a very nice setting across the road from rose bay.
