I ordered a seafood pizza, and got a sloppy sorry half raw mush. The food is expensive as all hell and the place is full of rich old yuppies. Never again

This Italian place has a vibrant atmosphere that draws me in and makes me feel like I am in for an experience. The menu here has plenty of seafood, pasta and pizza to choose from and the prices for each will be between $20 – $30. BYO wine, which you can just grab from across the road makes this a great little spot to duck out for dinner and enjoy some authentic Italian flavours and a nice drop of red. We opted for the arancini balls and olive ascolane starter – which were delicious. Couple this with the mussel pasta and you will enjoy a tasty meal with a great vibe.

An absolute disappointment this was our first time we stood at the entrance patiently waiting for some time for someone to attend to us we were eventually shown to our table the last one at the back of the restaurant we had booked for 5 but the table only seated 4 the waitress walked away without even saying a word we sat for 18 min at which point I expressed our concerns to a waitress and asked for some water another 10 min passed until a waiter walked up put some glasses of water on our table he walked away without a word no one even said hello all this in a half empty restaurant at 5 30 pm not exactly rush hour we had sat there for 28 min without even a hello a table of four walked in 10 min after U.S. There was water and wine at their table and a waitress taking their order even after politely expressing our dismay nothing was done we got up and started walking out a waitress then asked if there was anything wrong I explained there was no attempt to help they just let us walk out they had our number to absolutely no attempt to rectify the situation contact us or apologise what a disgrace

Left Speechless…Why bother to write a review in my busy professional schedule?! Because there is no place like this Resteraunt anywhere else in Sydney in terms of food standard, food quality, ambience, transparency, overall feel and customer service. Each time I return it’s like being at home; waiters, management and chefs alike all know precisely who you are, what you like and there’s an overall feel of total understanding of the individual. Frozen pizzas and cardboard boxes belong anywhere but at this sensational Restaraunt any comparison is absurd and ignorant of acknowledging the ongoing success of this awesome locality. I’m not one to recommend but this is a must!

Such a shame! Had such high hopes for this restaurant. My father was in town so we ordered takeaway, try somewhere new! We would usually buy from Mad Pizza or Crust. The restaurant staff were absolutely lovely but the food was a MAJOR letdown. Garlic bread was three pieces of toast with a little butter and herbs in a white paper bag. Inedible, so dry!!!Then the pizza… At first I thought they had made a mistake. It was cut in quarters (four slices only). Pizza base was so thin that the pieces actually needed to be that big to fold over. Was so tricky to eat! Toppings totally undercooked, soggy base, dry outer crust. I will never order again. Honestly, even if it were free, I wouldn’t eat it. Such a shame, Rose Bay really needs some hip, nice eateries but this isn’t it. Dominos or a frozen pizza from Coles or Woollies would have been better!!!

Mangia e Bevi would easily rate as the best Italian resaurant in Sydney. With friendly staff and comfortable ambiance, an enjoyable time is had by all. The food is outstanding. From pizza to pasta to salad and desert, the whole menu is amazing.Highly recommended, be sure to book ahead as they a popular.

Highly recommended quality modern pizza. Mezzaluna is awesome and omg the grilled octopus polipo alla griglia is the best by far I have tasted in my lifetime. The people are happy and Peter always makes you feel at home. I love all the mains and the dessert here. The fried ice cream is to die for. You got to try the fried olives or you will miss out.
