Selection of food was good. Restaurant was very busy on a Sunday night and waitress had to be reminded of a couple of our items eg. Forgot to bring tea. Though it was tasty with all the dips and salads, I was surprised at how small the serving was for a $30 shwarma plate.I understand that a kosher place is always a little more expensive, but think prices here are OTT.

Yummy takeaway felafel salad and lamb shwarma. Whilst the salad was on the small side the flavours were great and there were many felafel. Would order again 🙂

I just love the bright, cheerful and lively atmosphere at this popular Kosher-Israeli joint on Old South Head Road in Rose Bay. No bookings are necessary. Just lob in and grab a table if you can find one. You can order at the counter or let the friendly young waitress come around and do the honours for you. Its all very informal and casual, just like in Israel. The fare is middle eastern/Israeli with tons of the stuff that we enjoy so much like crispy salads, falafel, tahini, hummus, tabouli and grilled meats. You can also get more traditional western fare like burgers, chops and they do kids meals too.We came here on a busy Thursday night and ordered a selection of falafels, schawarmas and salads, accompanied by lashings of warm Lebanese bread and spicy dips. There was something for everyone, including for our vegetarian friend. It was all fresh and tasty and served in generous portions. The hot stuff gets to you straight from the oven. And to complement your meal, you can choose from the interesting variety of imported or local beers. I always make a beeline for my favourite Israeli one, Goldstar, a refreshing and icy ale in a dark brown bottle. The lighting here is excellent so youll have no trouble reading the menu or the blackboard above the serving counter. There are comfortable American-style booths or plain wooden chairs and tables, plus theres an outdoor garden section as well. Youll also find barstool seating perhaps suitable for solo dining, which looks out onto busy Old South Head Rd.P.M. have a descriptive website with lots of pics, so you can check out the menu there before you come. But youll appreciate just drooling over all those colourful, mouth-watering salads behind the serving counter. Its a sensory delight and your biggest problem will be what to choose. We paid $63 for three of us and that included a single beer and four different dishes. Not the cheapest place in town but then it is kosher, which I guess adds to the cost.Another plus for P.M., especially in this crowded and congested part of the world, is that theres ample free parking in nearby Dover Road. Just make sure that when you want to go, that it isnt closed for religious reasons. Youll be safe most weeknights except on important Jewish holidays. Sunday nights are fine, but its closed Fri and Sat nights. We always enjoy coming here and are already looking forward to our next visit.

The owner charges what he feels. When you order, check what the actual price is before being charged.I went in there about a month ago, and the owner of the place deliberately overcharged me for a meal. Interestingly this apparently happens quite often.Anyone else been done?

STAT AWAY!! I got a chicken salad take away, $17!!! It had about a legs worth of chicken, half a tomato, x2 slices of cucumber and the test lettuce. Total joke!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

After disregarding the third world decor and taking the plunge on a feed here we were extremely disappointed to receive chewy red meats priced higher than Israel’s deficit. The hummus was delicious but lets be honest it’s pretty hard to get that wrong if you’re from Israel. After we’d finally gotten the chewwy meat out of our teeth the waitress slapped the bill on our table like she was playing Snap. Disappointing overpriced food served and made better elsewhere.
