Nice little cafe right next to Lyne Park and Rose Bay wharf. Very relaxing to grab a take away and stroll along the waterline, or just dine in under the sunshine. Considering this ideal location, i think the price is quite reasonable. Coffee tastes great. Brunch menu is small but good quality food. Friendly service.

Next to Lyne park at Rose bay and only a 2 minute walk from the ferry this cafe should be on your list if you are in the area. Lots of outdoor eating space this is a popular cafe with the locals and the tennis crowd with the courts literally nextdoor. Do not wait at your table as you have to grab a menu and order at the counter. We ordered the sugar and spoon breakfast pan which had bacon, chorizo, panko crumbed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, baked beans and your choice of eggs for $20 and I went with the corn fritters with bacon and avocado salsa for $18. Both meals were delicious and the coffee was also a hit. The counter also has a tempting looking selection of sweets to choose from. If you are short on time grab a takeaway coffee and walk along the bay and watch the seaplanes take off.

A hidden treasure. This was a great find. We went kayaking with Oz Paddle and they recommended we come here for lunch. The coffee is great (Campos Coffee). They even have free dog biscuits 🙂 We sat on the roof top terrace and enjoyed our lunch in the sun. We will definitely be back.

Don’t bother, all round terrible !!. Arrogant staff and overpriced average food. Made to wait 30 mins for a coffee and food when it finally came was cold and tasteless. Wont bother ever again.

Were here on a Saturday for a late lunch. We ordered a burger (good) and a chicken sandwich (good). We ate alone at the rooftop terrace and it was fantastic!

Great find, we will definitely be regulars now. When my husband and I first discovered Sugar and Spoon, we were especially enticed by the open mackerel sandwich. Unfortunately, they were out of this choice but both of our second choices were delicious. The food was so good that we went back the following week. They were still out of the mackerel sandwich, but a different set of second choices exceeded expectations again – so much so that we went back the following week. This time we scored and my husband got the mackerel sandwich and I had a smoked haddock and pecorino hash special which were both amazing. We live in Bondi, surrounded by great cafe’s but Sugar and Spoon offers something a bit different and no matter what you get, even if it might not be your first choice, it will be delicious! The place is also very dog friendly which is great for those of us who enjoy bringing our pups to Rose Bay for a swim.

Disappointing. We ate here…. Disappointing. We ate here this morning, I ordered the baby spinach and goats cheese omelette. They informed me that they had ran out of spinach (so they have me mushroom instead) but it also came without goats cheese. $17 for a dry egg and mushroom emelette. The restaurant wasn’t busy, the service was ok, not the fastest or attentive. The coffee was good.
