My first experience eating Vietnamese pancake banh xeo, I thought I would try this place which was recently voted best cheap eats by Time-out and I had also walked past before. I ordered the Vietnamese banh xeo pancake with thinly sliced beef tongue, lemongrass and chilli. I loved how crispy the pancake was (its yellow from the turmeric – so added health bonus!) and it was served with crunchy, fresh cos lettuce which you wrap around the pancake and dip it in the nuoc mam dipping sauce. The pickled veg and fresh herbs were the perfect accompaniment. Service was speedy, I thoroughly enjoyed my first banh xeo, Ill be back!

A seriously delicious Banh Xeo – probably one of the best in Sydney! While it is a little bit on the pricey side, its definitely worth a visit. The Banh Xeo comes with lettuce cups and a nuoc Cham dipping sauce, which work together so well. I will definitely be back!

Pate Crostini with pickled jalapeo – very good, pate flavour was on point and crostini had good texture, crunchy and flakyPrawn and pork shoulder banh xeo – pancake was super crispy, ingredients were fresh and nice condiments to add (pickled onion and carrots). Came with lettuce, coriander and perilla leaves Combination bun bo hue – pigs head nugget tasted amazing, fresh ingredients for the noodles, salad (cabbage and herbs) and meat was decent quality but broth lacked depth of flavour slightly.Roast bone marrow, toast and Vietnamese herb salad – personally found this dish too oily and not enough bread to the bone marrow ratio. The highlight was the herb salad as it really helps to cut through the heaviness of the bone marrow. Probably wouldnt get it again due to the messiness of eating it but was worth trying for the experience. Overall the food was very yummy apart from the broth, the main downside to our experience was the wait time. Our total eating experience took around 1.5 hrs with lots of wait time for dishes that shouldnt take that long, although the team did made it up by offering complimentary drinks. Still would recommend though because the food is yummy!!!
