With a park across the road it’s even kinda pleasant sitting here on a sunny afternoon. But who cares  about ambience, we’re not here to make friends, we are here to feast. Shine Food does super good Sichuan style food at a super price, with super nice staff – highly recommended. Sour cabbage with fish fillets – $10.50.  This random pick from the lunch specials menu was life affirming on a cold day, this is a new favourite. It’s a soupy dish of chunky basa bits with loads of pickled veg, spiced up with a little chili and Sechuan pepper. A generous serve that his filling yet light and pretty healthy.

This is a newly opened Chinese / Szechwan restaurant that had opened under the Meriton apartments. I didn’t expect too much from this place which is in a very residential area but was pleasantly surprised at the delicious dishes, I’m very keen to go back! Highly recommend the special braised eggplant and kung pao chicken dishes but actually, everything we add was delicious!

Been here a few times as its near my work. Their lunch menu is great if your on a budget with meals under $10 without compromising on the quality or portion. The portions are generous and both staff and kitchen happy to cater to our needs. A lot of chilli dishes however they are happy to cook dishes without the chilli. Will recommend this place for lunch or even dinner.
