A great place to come and have dinner plus watch the football. I thought the ambiance was great, we ate in the outdoor area which was good. The inside area looked very nice and cozy. There was 8 of us and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had a 400g steak and it was outstanding, cooked to perfection with chips and two sauces
Silver Spoon is the name of the family friendly pub bistro at The Lakes Hotel in Rosebery. Although late Sunday afternoon, it was relatively busy with what looked like a kid’s party in the adjacent function room and a bunch of lunching families in the main dining room which has an interesting tree trunk feature protruding from the carpeted floor. The chicken parmigiana and spaghetti bolognese were satisfactory.
Went here today for a kids party. Pretty good because you don’t have to pay venue hire. In fact, they even let the party hosts bring food in (they’d already organised food for a picnic but got rained out). Just had to spend $300 on the bar. Easy! Nicely renovated too! aroundtheclockfoodie.com
I had a recent visit and tried the lunch special of tempura snapper with chips and tartare sauce. Overall, it was a decent meal. The fish portions were a little small in this tempura version and there was a generous inclusion of fries. It was a weekday and so it wasnt too busy. The interior is nicely set up and quite recently renovated. There was a little bit of aircon circulating but it wasnt operating on full power obviously. The service was friendly. They had an area to park so that would solve most parking issues at busy times.
