Excellent. Superb food, great service and nice atmosphere. The seafood chowder was unforgettable!
Love it!. We went there on a Saturday night for the 6 course-degustation dinner using the $99.00 Groupon voucher. Service is really good. Food is excellent. The portion is pretty big considering it’s a degustation. By the 4th dish we tell them that we’d share the next dish as I was just too full to eat but didn’t want to miss out tasting the next delicious dish. My husband, who is not a fan of seafood soup, was very impressed with the seafood chowder. This place is a keeper!
Booked this on the $99 voucher. In the terms it clearly stated 3 times you need to book two days before..unfortunately further down which I missed it also says you need to book 1 month in advance before expiry. I tried to book and was only 2 days after this date and they wouldn’t take my booking. Just another case of customers that buy vouchers aren’t important enough to be treated as paying customers.highly disappointed as I was looking forward to this one.
Perfect quiet romantic evening. The degustation was sensational and the service was exceptional. We loved every dish. For fine dining we were unexpectedly full and with some serious effort we made sure the chef didn’t see anything returned.Recommending a weekday, as we shared our Tuesday night with 5 other well spaced tables. Perfect.
Almost perfect. Went there on a Voucher – $99 for 2 for the degustation with a bottle of wine, which was about half price. Asked for the matching wines, and they charged as if we had not paid for wine, so 1 Beer + wine for 2 = $80 on top, so overall not a bargain!Atmosphere was very good, although lighting was a little subtle for you to read the menu, and when the bill arrived, I had to use my mobile phone to be able to read it! Other than that this is a stylish, quiet but plush 5 star restaraunt indeed. The food ranged from good to excellent, well matched with good, interesting but not over the top wines. I always look for things I wouldn’t make at home, and I got it in spades. Each course was well planned and sized so that we could walk at the end (but only just!), and they do ala carte as well – $24-35 for mains, as well as BYO @ $5 per head which is probably the way to go.Overall imrepressed … round a 14 or 15/20 on SMH standards
Beautiful romantic restaurant with oodles of old world charm. There is however nothing old-world about the menu which is modern and varied. All the food is perfectly presented and wonderfully flavoursome. The seating is spacious which makes a pleasant change from many of the newer funky places – you can actually have a conversation with your partner without raising your voice! It is not cheap but does represent great value.
Went here for a birthday dinner, we were all extremely pleased with the setting and the quality of the food! All of us have since returned and enjoyed it just as much; highly recommended.
