It may have been a rough day for the business but my family and I stopped in for a coffee. After waiting almost 20 mins and seeing those who ordered after us get their coffee before us didnt help the luke warm coffee when it finally arrived.Perhaps the great selection of cakes, tarts and other sweets that looked great may have been better but we didnt stick around. Dissapointing but I wouldnt wont to deter people.
I ordered the Hazelnut Chocolate Sponge cake from here for my partners Bday and it tasted amazing! The sponge was so soft and moist, and hazelnut cream was just to die for. I loved all of it. I ordered it online a week before I needed it, and the whole processes was a breeze. Had lots of comments on how good it was! When I go back to the area I’ll definitely be trying out a few more sweet treats from this place.
Can’t miss the opportunity to visit Essence for great quality desserts and coffee! I have previously ordered cakes here but on this occasion ordered cannoli, a custard tart, ricotta cheesecake, a cheese and bacon pie and hot chocolate takeaway. Essence don’t have cannoli on display but instead make this on the spot so that they are always fresh. The custard tart is also creamy and delicious and unlike the ricotta cheesecake does not make you feel heavy and sick after. The cannoli are always the perfect amount of sweet. They come in Ricotta, Chocolate or Vanilla but we had Ricotta and Chocolate. The only suggestion I could make to Essence is to use milk chocolate for their hot chocolate but regardless they are absolutely delicious. Essence makes great desserts and I highly recommend them for every occasion!
This little patisseries is tucked away in Rouse Hill shops (not to be confused with Rouse Hill Town Centre) but through word of mouth, a lot people are discovering how good it is. All the little pastries and pies are made on the premises and they are very tasty, especially the strawberry flan and Mars Bar cheese cake. The only disappointment has been the macarons, they have no particular flavour but just overly sweet. The coffee is good too. We love getting our coffee and walking up to the lovely doggy park on the weekend.
Great coffee and some wonderful naughty treat type pastries available. Tried the fruit flan and it was nothing short of amazing. My understanding is almost everything is made in house…amazing.
