About life is part cafe, part grocery store I wanted to come back and try this food again before I form a opinion but the time Inbetween this review and my first time has been a long time. So long my previous time here, the food that I had is no longer on the menu My first experience I’ve found the service to be slow. My Barra bento is not a bento box but it had Kim chi (a little too spicy for me) brown rice (which was the best part of the meal) and barramundi fillet which didn’t have much taste My coconut and cacao super smoothie didn’t have much tasteI wasn’t sure whether I had to sit down or wait at the coffee takeaway area to get it Current review Had the mango summer quencher, very sweet but I like it. You can really taste the mango gelato My pure chia chicken burger was ok. You can taste the tahini and the chicken was a little dry. No sides of chips here which is fine Food came out at a reasonable rate and the counter lady served me my smoothie and burger at my table so no confusion this time This time round the experience was better and prices seem to be more reasonable than last time I want to give this 3.25/5 but I can’t!

Good produce/products in the shelf. Salad bar not very hygienic… saw them spraying and cleaning near salad bar and on top of it with food still their and patrons serving themselves. Told the manager and he very professionally acted upon the complaint. Value of money certainly not there… But quality is there in abundance

I hardly ever write reviews but this time I thought I really had to. Ate at the cafe and it was terrible.1) Chicken Burger – chicken was really dry. The side of sweet potato chips were verging on having a burnt taste. They were also soggy, limp and cold.2) Pulled Pork – This was extremely salty. So salty that we couldn’t eat it. I am not one to leave food behind, (especially meat!), but it was inedible. We could only eat 1/4 of it and left the rest.3) Kids Beef Burger – This one tasted the best but unfortunately my daughter could only eat parts of it. The tomato relish that is spread on the bun is quite spicy. I told the staff that it was spicy and they said it was supposed to be like that. I then commented that it was unusual that a kid’s meal would be spicy. (I enjoy spicy food and even I thought this was quite spicy). The staff member then said he thought it should have anything spicy in it. It was quite confusing! The beef patty tasted quite nice but was a little on the salty side.Altogether, the meal cost over $40. That is a extremely pricey for what you get. The food just did not match the philosophy of the supermarket at all. It’s promoted as healthy but our meals didn’t feel like that at all.

Post the Brewtown Elvis burger a cleansing juice was in order. The energiser hit the spot pretty well. This cafe is a nice space with indoor and outdoor seating for kids, prams and born again healthy types. I also gave the banana bread a try. It’s a distant dream to the regular version to say the least. Lesson learnt.

I’ve been there a couple of times and honestly I’m not going anymore. Totally disappointed. I had the paleo breakfast last Sunday for $16, the worst breakfast ever in Sydney!!!! Saying the yolk of my poached eggs was overcooked it’s an understatement! I’ve asked for crispy bacon and they got me this slimy, tick, horrible bacon. Really if you want a nice, healthy, good value for money breakfast DON’T go there! Manuela

Have been coming here for many years. Some things are better (the in house offerings), some things are worse (consistency of same). But overall I thank god for the opportunity to shop somewhere that has done all the hard work of sourcing great organic food and bringing it together. And I love some of the new innovations like the jar smoothies (so convenient) and the salad bars. Pet hate – the cardboard takeaway containers that get soggy.
