I’ve never waited for such long time for a meal. We spent more than three hours to have the Valentines dinner there, a four-course special dinner. And every course came every half hour, and not been served properly. The food actually is not bad, but not as good as I expected. Wouldn’t come back anymore.
Longgggggg wait for food. Came on a Sat night, they were pumping. But we could see from the get go that more staff should have been on. It took 15min for them to even bring a menu. Once we got it we ordered 3 entrees and 3 mains with rice and bread. First chicken entree came out fine, the other two took ages. We waited over an hour and a bit before mains came out. We were seated quite close to the service bar. Staff not considerate at all when throwing empty bottles into the bin, it was so loud and just unnecessary. There also was a large water spill by one of the frantic staff, it was mopped with a dirty mop, in the most aggressive way and then wiped with towels by other staff. The one who spilt the water needed to calm the hell down. Everyone was looking at him. Just not dealt with properly not to mention a WHS hazard. No wet floor sign or anything. Think of your colleagues, think of their safety. Indian lady in blue top seemed genuine and was pretty much the only one that cared to ask how our food was. Food finally came out and it was ok. Just ok. Kinda one flavour between all dishes. The way our barramundi was cooked in the curry sauce was the stand out but everything else was just… meh. Glad we tried it, place was always busy but cause of the slowness and just no wow in the food, won’t be back in a hurry.
They want to be fine dining and are achieving it to some degree but for the waiting staff. Dishes are divine with lot of variations on some Indian classics. Try their lamb street dosa. A bit pricey and also stingy on basic Indian condiments which is rare in Indian restaurants.
Very delicious and will come again but downside is very slow service. We sat down at 8:10 and our mains came out at 9:17. We also asked for no coriander when we ordered, repeated again when both our entrees had coriander in it, and a third time when one of our curries and rice had it inside. Both our entrees had coriander so I couldn’t eat them; therefore I had to wait over an hour for the mains to finally be able to eat. Waiters need to improve and emphasize more on customer requests and allergies.
Absolutely awesome. Really enjoyed dinner here for my birthday this week. Everything from the dosa to the curry and beer were perfect.
Been here once and it was amazing. Wanted to book here for my birthday but they are closed for a refurb! Fresh indian with a twist, not westernised indian. Delicious
