Great food let down by poor staff in the bistro area. Was berated by the bistro manager when I wanted to send back a meal to the kitchen that wasn’t anything like what I ordered on the menu. He tried to give excuses and when I asked to change the meal he tried to tell me the kitchen had closed. In the end the licensee stepped in and saved the day but could not believe how I had been treated over something that could have been easily rectified. Such poor form
What a discovery. Probably the fanciest display of both cookery and ingredients in a burger outside of fine dining ever. Foie Gras. Truffle. Short rib. And I got to eat it! Winning. The flavours although quite rich, worked well. The bun did as well as it could to hold it all together. Wings were awesome too
Nice safe friendly place with a good menu to match. Nice dining area for families but hard to get a table on weekends. The menu changes so always good to go again and again…

Atmosphere was nice so were the people. I felt safe and comfortable to be out with my wife. The food was typical pub food, and unfortunately for the pub but fortunately for the readers the food was not satisfying. I would eat else where for a fulfilling outing but this place is just a quick feed and nothing else about it. I am not sure but I will be back.
Nice pub style food. The front bar is generally filled with locals and the back bar is opposite their outdoor beer garden area. Lots of tables to eat at along the back wall and at the front. staff friendly and helpful. They also have a bottle shop just beside. Good pub grub!
Lived just around the corner from this place for a couple of years. It is my favourite pub in balmain. Reasonably priced, good size servings and quality food. Good fun on a Saturday night too, usually a pretty good crowd.
