Always great food and service plus kid friendly. A wide variety of food, recommend trying the jerk chicken and the curries. No better place to sit in front of the fire or in the restaurant and have a great meal.
Best pub food in the West. The Jerk Chicken is out if this world, great Thai kitchen, recommend to all !!!Great range of normal pub food but the great dishes is the Thai specials.
Best Pub food in the Balmain/Rozelle Area.A good mix of dishes available but some of the best are the specials which change daily although this means you may not get a dish you fall in love with everytime you go there.The roast duck, pork belly and whole fish with mango salad are must try if they are on the menu.
I like this place, everyone is friendly and it hasagood atmosphere…. however the food is letting it down! I got the goat curry which I havehad before, it had so much cardamom it nearly knocked us out. Total overkill, I had warned the people with me not to get the Burmese pork curry as I encountered the same thing last time.I love cardamom, but even I think someone in the kitchen needs to stop being so heavy handed. Its almost like its the same curry spice mixtureisbeing used for a few of the curries. The tacos here are tasty, butI will say they are on thesmall side.They do a good sticky date pudding though.TheMerton has the potential to improve on food, for the price I think they should.

The Merton. We love this place. The menu is a bit eclectic but every meal we have had here has been great. The curries are amazing , the tacos the best I have had and the daily specials on the blackboard always offer something interesting. There are pub staples like steak and schnitzels and our kids rave about the Burger.
Delicious. Loved the pull pork tacos and jerk chicken. Great atmosphere. Definitely going to become a regular.
