Previously dined at Gastro Park which was an exceptional and theatrical experience. From amazing, and well presented dishes to creative flavours and concepts, once we heard Antipodean replaced Gastropark – we were so excited to return and try the food. Though it was understood that the menu boast sustainability and Australian and New Zealand produce – by highlighting products from the land and sea. Antipodean was a slight miss and unfortunately an underwhelming experience for me. Dining area was dim lighted , casual and welcoming, we ordered the $75 chef menu. Our first 2 course came out – the burrata had some tough kale throughout of it and screamed balsamic vinegar, and tuna sashimi was just OK. Our favourite dish of the night was the grilled prawns which was well cooked and flavoursome. Overall experience was unfortunately average or we may have made a mistake with choose the chef menu, probably do recommend picking from the a la carte menu which had more variety such as meat dishes.

Great menu, delicious food and very welcoming, sincere service! We had sourdough, prawns, raw fish(I can’t remember it’s name but it wasn’t cod) with pomegranate ceviche, sweet potatoes and snapper as main! Except snapper, which was the main we chose, every dish was flavoursome, delicious and playful! Snapper was the only one lack of flavour and a bit over cooked! Overall, nice ambiance and good food! I can’t wait to try other dishes.
