I tried the chocolate eclair, it really good, not too sweet but not too plain either, you can taste the chocolate in the filling and the glaze. The real classic, simple, and elegant French pastry
Yo. Not gonna be fancy and shit. This is just a straight review with bad language. I love pastries. Like that’s my shit. I’ve been around the world and have had fine pastries in Geneva, Paris, London, Berlin, blah blah blah you get what I mean… but the Tarte Fine and Pecan Tartelette I had at Choco Canelle were wild. I got there 20 mins before they shut and that was pretty much what they had left. The tarte fine was wafer thin and crispy, the apple slices were paper thin and it just melted in my mouth. That combination tasted as good was as satisfying as your first ice cold beer of your big night. I only hand half of one, my daughter wanted the other half. If I didn’t make her I would have fought her for it. I don’t care she’s only two. Let see if you really bout that pastry life!! The pecan tartelette was when I knew Jean Francois had never ever in his life played games when it came to making pastries. OMFG!! Crunchy, sticky, sweet, crumbly all just having the maddest orgy in my mouth and I wanted them to stay forever. Hands down the best pastry experience in my life! This is my spot now. And the world will know about it!
An authentic french pastry experience. Who doesn’t love the dedication to decadence? The chocolate tart and chocolate croissant are winners. My workmates also love the coffee here when they’re going for a treat 😉
An authentic French bakery hidden deep in suburban Ryde. The shop itself is only very small & they only have a small quantity of each item, so if you are after something in particular you better get there early. I love their petit gateaux (also available in petit fours), love all the ones I’ve tried. I had the coffee eclair this time & it was smashing, not too sweet, thin & crisp pastry, the cream was fresh & the coffee taste lingers on your senses. Also had an almond croissant, it was authentic, in the sense that it’s very heavy & buttery. Nice, but bit much for me.
Can’t go past the croissants here – amazingly fresh authentic French croissants. The almond croissants are sweet and crunchy outside and soft buttery almost creamy centre. I often stop on way to work for office morning tea…
Delicious almond croissants! They ran out of their butter croissants unfortunately. Delicate pastries.Staff were warm and welcoming. Love this little gem, will definitely be back.
