Awesome!. Everyone knows when you go to Shellharbour Village the selection is limited – Thai, indian, thai, fish and chips, a way overpriced pub feed, indian, oh and thai! 5th Avenue is a breath of fresh air to the Village. It’s unique atmosphere and American style brings a whole new experience to dining in the Village. I can honestly say their BLT is the best out there and their fries are delicious. Tonight I ventured away from my favourite and tried a Ranch Pizza, which in my opinion – was simply amazing. Fresh, crunchy, tasty and visually appealing. May be slightly more expensive than Pizza Hut – but you can trust the toppings on 5th Avenue are fresh. Their open kitchen allows you to see the chefs hard at work.Besides that, the staff are always upbeat and always expand on the positive environment you’re sitting in.I couldn’t rate this place higher. It’s awesome! I’ll keep going back.

Eggs Benny. It was very nice – but I just wanted plain bread – any bread rather than bagel (as bagel is 5 times the calories of bread) being a diabetic! They could only offer me gluten free bread – I was fine with that – but then they wanted to charge us $2 per person for the gluten free bread, plus 3.50 for sides like bacon – so the dish was $25.50 per person just for poached eggs benny with sides and gluten free bread! also the bacon was all the fatty bits and chopped up so that was odd. It had lovely avocado puree but it advertised asparagus – and there were no spears just wafer thin slices of asparagus and about 3 rocket leaves. Outrageously expensive. We ended up paying $63 for two dishes of eggs benny plus 3 coffees and a pressed juice. I think I wouldn’t have minded if they recognised that as they had nothing but bagels, they shouldn’t have charged so much for the gluten free. Seemed uncompromising and unfair.

Overpriced and average. My partner and I had breakfast. It cost over $60!! For 2 mains and two coffees. Gluten free bread incurs an extra charge— $2 pp. You have bagels or this. No other choices. The poached eggs were very good but to describe it as coming with asparagus and rocket was an overstatement. The one asparagus spear was shredded . And there was simply too much bernaise sauce. Side orders incurred a surcharge. So if you wanted bacon for example you would be charged extra! Poached eggs for $19.90. It’s not the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong but a street cafe in Shellhabour. No wonder overseas tourists find Australia overpriced. This is a classic example. You could eat in Europe or the U.S. for a lot less than this.

Disappointing.. I was looking forward to trying this little cafe recently, However, I found the menu a little too limited, but thought what they did have, must be good. I was wrong. The nachos were completely inedible and the pizza sloppy in the middle and very doughy. The wings were really dry and overcooked AND tasteless. They served delicious boutique wine, had lovely crystal glasses, but this did not make up for the attrocios food.

Bland. I took my family out to try Fifth Avenue for the first time tonight and it will be the last. We ordered hot wings, which were overcooked, dry and bland. This dish was supposed to come with ranch dressing, but came instead with Kraft mayonnaise. The pumpkin arancini were inedible and, instead of being served with garlic aioli as promised, also arrived with Kraft mayonnaise. The onion and blue cheese arancini were palatable but any blue cheese in them was indistinguishable. Once again, this dish arrived with a big dollop of Kraft mayonnaise. The pizzas were fine, but only fine. The toppings were tasty but the bases too doughy. These were the best of a bad lot and frankly, there are better pizzas around.

The best food ever!. Last week my daughter and I had the most amazing granola yogurt and fresh fruit breakfast so tasty and healthy. Later in the week my girlfriend and I had the glazed pork pizza. Its the best pizza I have ever had. This food is so delicious. Compliments to the chef and the great staff who made us feel very welcome. We are going back again next week.
