Tested this place because it’s always full.. thinking it must be good. Disappointed.We had curry puffs and devils wing which had text in menu ‘must try’ … aaaw. Chicken wing had nice crust thing covering but meat was terrible?? Had only once tasted that bad tasting chicken.. hardly fresh. Curry puffs were nice. Better half ordered pad thai and it was rubbery noodles in some what ever it was sauce. She said that never had so terrible pad thai. How come pad thai can be bad in thai restaurant?? Like having bad pasta in Italian.. I had massaman beef which was really strongly cinnamon tasting, but meat was good and portions really generous.Not good experience at all. Even the aluminium water cups tasted funny :(Shame..
Great THAI food!! The green vege dish is a fav of ours, hard to go past. Everything else is pretty much great. Service is quick and no fuss. It’s a regular of ours and now when we think of THAI then this is the spot. Love it!
Ordered a green curry with chicken, grilled lamb and hokkein mei with sambal chilli. Favourite dish was the lamb. Nice spice on the lamb, it was cooked well, liked the dipping sauce it came with and the dish came with 4 cutlets which I thought was very good for the price. The noodles were my 2nd favourite dish. Good flavour and nice chunks of pork, tofu and fresh prawns through it. Curry was tasty but I was hoping for more heat/ chilli.
Amazing food, great service, beautiful ambiance, reasonable prices! I highly recommend this Thai Resaurant. This has now become a regular spot for us!
Had regular dinner with friends before their renovation and change the name, Hanuman Thai restaurant. Friday night dinner at Charmed Thai restaurant was good overall. However we all missed the old set menu… Very similar menu layout. Monkey King set menu was our choice. A lot of deep fried mixed entree wasn’t my favourite. Miss steamed dumpling entree.. Massaman beef curry was tasty as usual. More curry sauce would be great. Stir fried chicken noodle and duck dish was good. Deep fried calamari ring was just average. Downside of our dinner was, a staff member didn’t know the menu and double charged our drinks…. But overall dinner was enjoyable experience at the Charmed.
Their massaman curry was great. Perfect flavour and the meat was very tender. Only downside was there weren’t enough pieces of potatoes in my curry. Food was ready quite quickly too.
A great feed. A great local thai. Reasonable pricing, as expected for a local thai restaurant with great quality food and service.
