The living room beef burger is dissapointed. Taste blank. Fajitas chicken too salty. Spaghetti Marinara with a good tomato sauce. But the noodles is a bit overcook, too soft.
We were both really happy with what we got, burger was really good but I tried Steve’s calamari and immediately regretted not getting calamari because they were so delicious and come with chips and a salad.
Had coffee there, dine in and take away and very excited to try dinner there as it was new dinner service for Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. More of the pub food rather than cafe style dishes. Kind of old school feel to the menu…..
Great cafe. My family and I often have food and drink here. The waiters are very accommodating and friendly as is the manager. There are a few vegetarian options which we appreciate and the food is fresh and not processed! We are fussy about that. They take great pains to make the food how we like it. E.g no salt, little oil etc.We have never had to wait for a table. They have also take feedback well. They make a lovely vegetarian pasta. We are about to order some now!I recommend this cafe to you.A regular St Ives customer.
Didn’t expect the schooling.. Having missed the ‘please wait to be seated’ sign and the negotiation of a loaded shopping trolley. We seated ourselves. The waiter then proceeded to school us on how to properly respect the floor staff without giving us a chance to apologize. Nice. Felt like we were off like school kids. Seriously what about respecting us? Didn’t feel like staying to spend our lunch money so just had a coffee instead.
Enjoy the service and food. Food is always fresh and price is reasonable. I have never experience any bad food not bad coffee. I love the coffee it’s robust and full of flavour. A family favourite.
Didn’t like the food.. We didn’t like the food at the Living room Cafe, St Ives. It was expensive for what you get on your plate and the service was slow.
