Overpriced pork roll and very little portion for that price. There do not seem to have other pork roll sellers in St Leonards, so this place take advantage of that. Not overall satisfy with it, and will not go back again.
Reasonably good pork rolls. It’s nice to be able to pick one up on the way to work. They are open quite early in the morning (and have a special up to 10am). They are a bit overpriced for pork rolls, but there’s not much else around in the area
Saigon Rolls is a small Vietnamese shop located near St Leonard’s train station. I had the Pork sausage Banh Mi which was quite good. They do a mini version as well but I think that’s too small for me! Unfortunately they don’t have sell any Vietnamese iced coffee otherwise it would have been perfect theengineereats.com
This pork roll is very close to being excellent. I’ve had maybe 20 rolls from here and one of those was borderline perfection but overall they’re not quite there. The rolls themselves use often a little soft on the outside and lack that hard crust that a really good Vietnamese roll should have. They’re also on the expensive side for pork rolls at almost $7. The size is a little inconsistent as well. Sometimes it’s huge and other times it’s average, at least it’s never small. The vegetable are always fresh but sometimes underdressed. The house specialty is the pork crackling roll which seems to be either loin or belly and is awesome. At $8 it’s expensive by pork roll standards but it’s on another level and can’t really be compare to a classic pork roll. The inconsistency is the biggest let down of Saigon rolls. It’s never bad, it’s just some times it’s better than others so if you go and it’s not 100% then give it another shot, or 20.
S A I G O N R O L L SMy all time favourite Summer Bowl The one with the spring rolls and grilled pork is my go to for a quick lunch in the area.Super fast service and tasty food.@foodiesguidetosydney
I usually get a Bahn Mi Pork roll here every week for lunch. It is a bit expensive from the standard $5.50 at $6.50-$7.00 a roll but quite nice. I was a bit disappointed they didnt have any sri racha sauce. However, today I got the same roll and the bread was super stale 🙁 felt like it had been carried over from the weekend…Hope this isnt the case next time I come here!
Good feed, near the station, a bit pricey for pork rolls. Walked past this place on the way to station, and ordered their pork roll. Bread is ok, but filling is good. Would recommend. A bit pricey at 6.50 for a pork roll.
