Located outside Stanhope Village, Chong Co is always peaking with customers. Their food taste authentic, and the ambience has an energetic vibe. One thing I found quite odd, was the serving sizes. Our stir fry was less than one serving, the whole fried barramundi with green mango salad was equivalent to 2 small fillets. But our deep friend ice cream was massive! It lacked consistency, but the food overall tasted great.
Service here was really good but food was only okay.My pad Thai noodles were a bit soggy even though the flavour was quite nice. The green curry and pineapple fried rice were pretty good though. The mocktails were okay but I think they went a bit overboard with the ice so was hard to drink. The food came out relatively quickly so is good when you want something quick.
Quite overpriced for what it is. Customer service is slow even though it was not that busy. Waiters not that friendly. Also found a small piece of steel in my food? Seemed a bit like something off a scourer. Food was nice but not amazing.
Terrible. Friend recommended this place but had been here a while ago. Everything, really everything was bad. They were not busy, and yet it was over 15 minutes from when the first main was brought out till the last. Only a party of four. Food not good. Pad Thai was a solid mass, the fish fillets and Panang curry were so salty. Green curry was okay. Some places are worth giving a second chance. Not this place. I cannot think of one other Thai place in the Hills that is not better.
Not the best Thai in Sydney or the hills but it it is pretty good value for money. They don’t accept eftpos so be warned.
Straight from the fridge to the plate. Everything on the menu is pre-prepared & had an awful old fridge taste. Nothing like fresh Thai food
I like the venue,it’s big inside and had a tv. It’s all new! They don’t have lunch specials so I think that’s a bad sign when you pay full price and look at your dish thinking this should be bigger portion wise. The food did come fast though and my friend was expecting more also I found the food better than average but no lunch specials means no lunch return for me
