It’s a regular caf right opposite to the Stanmore station. The shop is small but is usually crowded as I sometimes passed by during weekdays at 7.30 am. Sometimes you have to queue outside.I went into the shop only once for a cup of hot chocolate. It’s bad, not sweet, with a lot of bubbles floating on the top. I was disappointed and although I once usually waited at the bus stop just next to the caf, I didn’t go inside any more.Maybe local will go there because it is the only caf nearby.
The location of this small cafe is near Stanmore Station. I was greeted by the friendly lady who was handling both the coffee machine and the register. They serve Campos coffee here but after having my earlier caffeine fix I went with a Sticky Chai. It tasted quite nice but slightly too weak for my liking. I also had a Raspberry Coconut Slice to go with it. This was really nice as it had a delicious sweet raspberry jam sandwiched in between the slice and yummy coconut top.
Coffee is good but it’s a shame about the service. Very sour and unappreciative and that’s the owner!! Food is quite ordinary too. They’ve lost this local.
A bit disappointing. The cafe itself is cute and in a nice spot. Have to agree with other reviewers about the staff coming across as unfriendly and disinterested. The food was ordinary and the cake was dry to the point where I’ve had gluten free cakes that had more moisture than this one (which wasn’t intended to be gluten free). Probably skip this one and try the other cafes.
No repeat business here. If you appear any different to the waitress then look to another cafe because this one won’t be serving you without subtly discriminating against you first. Will never return. They will never have my repeat business. Also, the food is average. For the prices they charge, you’d expect above average.
Good. Coffee, food and service. Whats not to like!
Not sure about Campos. I have been here twice. The first time the coffee was ok (even though it was Campos). Second time the coffee was really bad we had to throw them out.
