Had the regular bingsu and it was pretty large portion; shared it between 2 people and we couldn’t finish it. The crunch of the cornflakes with the strawberry flavour was a great combination. However, the service is quite bad. There weren’t many customers in the store, but one of the workers came by and told us to move to a smaller table because it was ‘busy’. They also weren’t very inviting, claiming that you can only stay for an hour with your laptop as it is a ‘public place’
My favourite cafe to go to for cakes and beverages, I was ecstatic when I found out that hello happy cafe had re-opened. The sweet potato cake there is the best! But I do recommend trying out their other cakes too.
Very bright cafe on the side street opposite the main drag. Monday night around 8:30 PM and it was very busy… and very noisy. The decor in the cafe does not absorb noise well and it made it very uncomfortable to carry on a decent conversation without needing to yell. There are some nice seats in the booth but these are almost always taken by people who sit around for quite a long time (2+ hours) so you’d be lucky to get a seat there. Otherwise the other tables are just normal.None of the food looks to be made on site as the kitchen area (apart from the counter with all the cake displays) is quite small. Drinks were so-so. I ordered a yuzu tea which was basically the yuzu jam in hot water. I was disappointed as it cost $4.50 and wasn’t anything amazing. My friends green tea latte was very light in colour and our cake was just ok.Nice little vibe to it, brightly lit but apart from that, nothing that would propel me to come back since there’s so many other cafes around.
