My husband and I went to Hiroba for our anniversary last night. OMG it was the best. The service was absolutely lovely. All our dishes were superb but my absolute favourite was the Fried Tofu in Broth. OMG it was amazing. So light. So flavourful. I am going back again and again.Thank you to the Chef and staff.
A very conveniently located spot – because they opened til 10pm I was able to have a late dinner there. It’s quite the cosy restaurant, and has a wide selection of Japanese and Korean dishes. It has the banchan (side dishes) – I got kimchi and the god-sent creamy mashed potato. My order (udon and sashimi set) came out super fast which was a very pleasant surprise. Tempura udon usually only has prawn tempura but this time it had a mix of prawn, sweet potato and potato tempura! The salmon was fresh and tasted good. Would be really keen to come back with some friends and try to korean stuff!
We waited over an hour for our food. Everyone that came after us received their food before us – I assume because they spoke to the workers in korean and knew each other. By the time we got our food, the table next to us had been turned over twice with new customers. Very disappointing experience and we were NOT offered an apology or explanation or compensation for our wasted time and money. Never again.
