While the taste has been inconsistent and change a few times since they opened, the rice cake is still a winner (although at times it can be too watery or too thick ) good comfort food as they put what seem to be similar to korean ramyun seasoning in it, it hits home 😉 sometimes the omok inside can be dry and a bit hard and Ive noticed the portion has tremendously decreased overtime. Kimbab is average abit too dry , and fillings are tough but I love their fried seaweed with glass noodle inside and occasionally get their sundae (blood sausage)
Cheap eat and close to the station. I had their basak kimbap, and it tasted like your average kimbap. However, it was the cheapest one on the menu ($5), so maybe their other flavours (eg. pork, cheese etc at around $7 – $8) would be more exciting. I also tried their fried seaweed roll with noodles inside, and it was the most interesting thing Ive had! They sold 3 for $2, and I thought I would give it a go. It is coated with fried batter, giving it a nice crunch. On the inside, they had cut up clear noodles wrapped in seaweed. I really enjoyed eating this, mainly due to the crunch. They dont have a lot on their menu, (only udons, kimbaps, fried sides etc), but their meals are relatively cheap. It is also quite a small place that can get crowded during peak lunch hours. When I was there, I noticed a lot of people buying take-aways as opposed to eating in. But overall, its a cute place if you want to grab something quick and cheap.
My go-to lunch/dinner destination if I’m looking for something light and cheaper. The basak kimbap never lets me down and definitely worth the price. Tried the fried seaweed roll with glass noodles, which was crunchy on the outside and clear noodles inside so it was definitely an interesting mix of textures.
Delicious street food of Korea. I really enjoyed the Tuna Gimbap. For the tteokpoki, they should have more fish cake instead of too many ricecake. Broth are great.Price is quite affordable. Service is quick.
First time for me eating Gimbap! Had dinner with my friends ordering Spicy Pork Gimbap, Pork Cutlet Gimbap, and Tuna Gimbap, with Tteokboki and Vegetable Tempura. Overall, taste was decent, I think everything was pretty fresh and service was fine. Tteokboki was nice though, you can add crunch on the self-service station. But considering the price, I would give 4 stars! For all of these dishes it was only $38 for 4 of us.
