Pretty good basic Japanese food, not expensive. Their sushi and sashimi are fresh and well made. A nice place for either eating in or takeaway.
It’s a good spot since it’s a few mins walk from Summer Hill Train Station. I would say their food is just OK. It’s not traditional Japanese food and nothing excites me. I probably will not go back again.
Fujiyama has the best rolls, while their takeaway bar might look unappealing their A La Carte is pretty spectacular AND they deliver. I’m a regular for their Chicken Katsu and Takoyaki which is always done to crisp flaky perfection! thenextrushmagazine.com
Have had mostly good experiences at Fujiyama. Food is good albeit pretty standard in variety. Service is inconsistent but good enough. Only main issue is that the prices are probably 10-20% too expensive when compared to similar restaurants. Besides that it’s still a comfortable, reliable, good quality local Japanese restaurant you’ll generally find a free table at.
The menu has good variety of Japanese foods. We ordered a ramen soup dish and it was pretty good on a cold night. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere inside is nice . Plenty of space between table and just the bright volume to have a chat.
Consistently good. The service is friendly, the food fantastic and well-priced. Have been coming here for years and it never disappoints.
Wow that is bad!. If you want Japanese food that is half the price and 10x the quality, go to westfields. The rice for the rolls was probably cooked around 2 in the afternoon, it was dry and crumbly. Just picking up a roll with a gentle touch was enough to make it fall apart. Just terrible. The edamame is cold, unsalted and the worse quality beans I’ve ever seen. Bad quality wasabi, bad soy sauce and we had to change waitresses because the first one could not articulate! No, really!! Chicken katsu for 18.50 that isn’t even accompanied with curry or rice! So basically you get a low quality chicken scnichzel with a little salad. What? This is a sad excuse for a Japanese restaurant. It’s probably run by Chinese owners…
