We had the Trust the Chef menu. We were impressed with the vitello tonato but the rest of the menu was good but not great. The wine selection was very good and wed go there again.

What a nice gem in the heart of Summer Hill. Old renovated post office with class , elegance , great food and ambiance. We had a work crew get together. So many choices…we started with the scallops and falafel board. Then the trout, crispy side of potatoes, heirloom tomato, fig and gooey cheese mmmmm. The beef brisket with cabbage kale salad was the highlight next to the donuts and dark chocolate dipping sauce. The service was second to none. Would go back in a heart beat. I don’t have a negative word for my experience.

Yoder beef brisket was delicious!! Loved the kohlrabi salad that came with it too !Pickles are little strong for me but I get it. Loved the buttermilk chicken too !Oh the donut type dessert with banana and salted caramel yummy too Cant wait to try more things

Great service and decently priced dishes that are generous in portion and absolutely delicious and well executed. Loved the beef tartare and scallop crudo entrees and the whole baked rainbow trout was superb and seasoned just right to allow the fish itself to shine. Fantastic variety and well priced wine list too, quite a lot of offerings in glass and carafe sizes too. Highly recommend this place!!

Wow. Amazing dinner. Started with a gin cocktail and beer upstairs in the bar then had our entree (salted cod fritters) and mains (lamb shoulder and beef brisket) on the verandah downstairs. Could not fault the food or the service. Finished off with another gin cocktail and dessert back in the bar. Relaxed yet professional service.

We had the winter long lunch menu. Love the beef tartare and pipis. Fresh ingredients were the star and definitely shone through the dishes. The smoked pork belly was a let down. I was hoping for some delicious crackling but it turns out to be rubbery. Meat was not tender and I cannot taste the smokiness. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

I enjoy heading for some quality cocktails and craft beer upstairs at Vernons bar before heading downstairs for a nice quality meal. Never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Staff always make you feel welcome.
