Nice little cafe on Fitzroy, in hip Surry Hills. Great to have some South-American/Columbian inspired brunch, that really changes from the usual avocado toast! Also recommends the hot chocolate, amongst the best I had so far in Sydney! Also big shoutout to the great service.
Great customer service, very Yammy good food. Very attentive and responsive staff. A bit squezzy but that’s all what’s not happening here. All the rest boxes ticked in my book. Wanting to go back soon
I had an arepas for brunch. I spent the night nearby. And the homey settings of Cafe con Leche captured me. This is my first experience with Colombian food and it tasted wonderful. Definitely lingers in my memory.
I love this place. Small Colombian cafe in Surry Hills captured my stomach and my heart about a year ago. I would frequent this place more often if I lived closer. The food is just amazing. So delicious and with some much flavour. The wait staff are so friendly. And I love the Spanish music playing in the background. Highly recommended. Especially the Colombian soups on a cold winter’s day.
The best hot chocolate I have after coming to Sydney…Nice ambience and friendly staff who always greets you with a smile…Would love to go there again…This time will try the Arepas…
A friends from twitter, one a Native American and another from Venezuela were discussing fry bread and tacos. (As an aside from ancient agricultural systems and land grabs.) I was told that a proto-taco called arepas existed. I tracked this place down. We had the arepas plate and the tamales. It’s really the first time I’ve had tamales and liked them. I was so excited about this place that I told a friend who se background is from South America. We met for lunch and he said it was the best Columbian food. The soup reminded him of his grandmothers. He liked it so much he told his Columbian friends. The food is great, service is great, the cafe itself is fun and quirky. Outside seating for those with pups. I know. I should have taken the photos before we ate.
Very small quirky place but absolutely loved the food and coffee here! That Colombian fried bread/cheese thing was the Best!! Would come back just for that!!
