Had wanted to try Caffe Bartolo for a while, after Bills moved next door and watching the transformation into Bartolo, so booked dinner for 2. New interior look definitely changed the restaurant look & feel. The atmosphere was busy and noisy with diners chat but the space between tables is extremely close. It feels like you are almost dining with your neighbours – staff have challenges manoeuvring between tables and fellow diners constantly bump into each others chairs while seated at their tables. It was hard to have a conversation across the table and felt like the tables around you could hear every word. Food and drinks menus are small, so limiting your choices. Food quality doesnt quite match the price. Staff are great and doing their best in a very restrictive space.

First things first. I havent tried the food here and I have been here almost 5 times now. Coffee, tea, gin, vermouth, beer and red wine are all very well curated.Olives and simple bread is enough to keep you ticking. The staff behind the bar seems like they know their booze it makes for a great conversation. The customer service is 10/10 and complimentary sparkling water goes a long way.See you guys again for some more gnt and olives.

If I could summarise the place in a few adjectives: rubbish, expensive, dirty, rude staff without knowledge of wine or food, pretentious, obnoxious staff, slow. It feels like another unnecessary high end caf wanna be cool but such a poor product. WILL NEVER GO BACK.
