I thought the coffee was all over the place, with the good elements (strong, rich, creamy, syrupy) overwhelmed by the graininess and bitterness and the lukewarm serving temperature. There’s a distinct tang from the beans that might please fans of exotics like kopi luwak.
Gave Cordouroy a crack this morning and the risk of trying a new coffee joint paid off! Located in the back streets of Surry Hills, this hole in the wall follows through with a fantastically made coffee with punchy beans and expertly made. Staff were very friendly and handled the morning rush with a smile. Remembering everyones orders without needing to shout out their name/order was a nice touch! Will definitely be back!
