3.5/5Came here because Butter was full (at 6:15!) and ridiculously unorganised. The decor looks like any other chicken shops you’ll find in the suburbs, but i’ve heard of Juicy Lucy’s name since it opened and have always wanted to try.The burgers were really delicious, although filled with chicken, salad and sauce, it is relatively structural. The Fried chicken is nicely seasoned and very juicy. Also got a chicken box to share, the drumettes was good and flavourful, but the chicken tenders were a bit dry. Also one of the drumettes i had was undercooked.Would have been better if they have recyclable plates/cutlery.Cheap place and decent chicken.
I got the Spicy Ronaldo Burger – Fried chicken, tomato, lettuce, pickles, mayo and peri peri sauce $13. The chicken was fresh and juicy, but there was a little too much sauce for my liking which made it messy to eat. But great burger overall.
I got the Juicy Lucy burger and it was seriously bad. Very chewy chicken, chewy batter, several pieces of gristle, and a shiny supermarket bun. I’ve tried a few fried chicken places in Sydney lately and this was far and away the worst. It’s below what you’d expect from the cheapest places but they charge $13 for a burger – for $1 more, you can something infinitely better from Thirsty Bird.
