The $10 lunch and dinner specials are great value and the food is very good. Tend to have dinner at the Hotel whenever the Sydney Swans are playing evening games at the SCG. Generally not too crowded and pub food is better and probably cheaper than at the SCG. Steak, burgers and fish are recommended.

It’s a terrible experience that we went through today at this hotel. We came for a Friday lunch and thought it would be cool to socialise during the lunch break when it was raining outside. However, we’ve waited for over an hour and our food wasn’t brought out. We’ve checked and they missed our orders totally. They did apologise for the mistake and offer complimentary drinks. That would have been so bad if the bartender didn’t spray the coke all over us as she thought that could crack a smile on our face after all this.If you have one hour to wait for the food and don’t mind going back to work with coke on your clothes, you’re welcome to go there. To be fair, the food was ok, but I don’t think we will come back after this.

Not bad $10 lunch specials. They did change chefs a couple of months back who was trying out a new menu but the last time we came back it looked like it changed back to the usual pub meals.

Believe it or not, this is where I ended my hens do at 8am in the morning after more than 12 hours of merry makinghaha! It was simply because nowhere else was open this time of the morning. The place was empty as expected. I haven’t been back since as it is not kind of place I would frequent when sober! thernbdiary.com
