Found my favorite coffee with Gabriel coffee beans near my office. I was so happy! Tasted really good the inside is well decorated and color coordinated, must stay for a drink next time! theengineereats.com
I like Saltie. Good ingredients, good service. The food is pretty healthy, but with some fried elements (none significant enough to blow out a normal diet). A good combination of pulses and savoury flavourings. They do a burger but most people go for the bowls. Ive had the salmon and edame, the lamb, the Cheeky (Fried chicken, slaw, pickles, brown rice and chilli mayo) and the Osaka (Panko fried avocado, sashimi salmon, green salad, rice and chilli mayo). All about $12 and fairly filling. The lambs great but my fave is the Osaka. They also do coffee. Try it.
I use to pass by every morning and grab my coffee for work. So sad that I moved work and can no longer visit. Quality of coffee is great and a discount when you bring your own cup too!
Been coming here for over a year now at least once a week to have their wonderful bowls! My favourites are the Lambo, Cheeky, Onset and the Salmon/Rice (add Avocado and it is extra spectacular). What this place does right is their perfection of the world simplicity – this is simple, healthy and filling food that makes you feel good. Thanks guys!
Deadset bunch of legends! Get my coffee from here every day and they kill it every time. Food is also always on point, and everything on the menu is on point 🙂
The fried chicken burger was great! For $10, its a bargain. Juicy chicken and the slaw was on point. Fries fried to perfection. The matcha mint pistachio was a disappointment. For $6, it comes in a small bio cup and lacking in any pistachio flavour. Subtle mint taste but it simply taste like matcha. However, happy to come back for the burger. Service is meh.
On the run looking for a bite to eat? Saltie in Surry Hills is the place. Just up from central station on Devonshire St, is this great little takeaway. Saltie a simple, clean modern style with the coffee machine at the window, some bench seats and a selection of salads in view at the back of the shop.
