Well Im sure the folks here know they have a captive martlet because the food was less than average and way over priced. The service from the bar is less than desirable too. I had the salmon with boiled chats and winter green bouquet. The salmon skin was burnt, although the salmon itself was perfectly cooked. The chats, however, was rather a baked potato cut in four length ways and blanketed with continental parsley and sage; Ive never had sage with salmon before and dont recommend it; perhaps my plate was meant for the lamb(?). I complimented my meal with a glass of red wine, which was totally oxidized and although disputing it with the bar they insisted that it had been freshly opened. Im at the hotel for five nights so if it improves I will update my review… but I dont think you should hold your breath.

Ordered the sirloin done medium but it turned out well done. Service was terrible when there was only 3 tables occupied for the night. The berry misu dessert was a disappoint too.. it was not worth the price tag

Stayed at the Novotel and decided to order room service for dinner. I ordered the pasta with prawns, artichoke and tomato and a side of chips. The pasta I have to say was not good – the prawns used were tiny!! They were type you find in cheap takeaway fried rice that come straight out of a freezer packet. Also to note, the menu didn’t mention anything about spinach leaves and capers being in the dish but somehow they were included in the meal. Don’t think I’ll ever eat here again – the price was ridiculous too $30+ for a bowl of terrible pasta!. You normally pay $30+ for quality, fresh pasta at a fine dining restaurant.

Quite small portions – the salmon was smaller than a regular piece of sushimi. Really overpriced and the food took a while after ordering when it wasn’t full in the restaurant. My friends ordered lamb and weren’t asked how cooked they wanted it and some were rare while some were well-cooked, which is a quite strange. No good vegan options for me besides the generic lazy options of roasted cauliflower or a fruit salad – and I’m just presuming these were vegan because there wasn’t any indication on the menu. It’s fair to have exuberant prices and small portions but then the service, food, and ambience better be extra ordinary but this just wasn’t.

Usual stop off for Rabbitohs home games for a bite to eat and a drink. Food is decent enough for the price and drinks are too. Could do with getting a better range of craft beer.
