I had soup of the day. Sweet potato soup, the staff are really nice. Place is quiet, quite relaxing. Most importantly I like the soup! Haven’t taste the coffee yet, will try next time.
This has to be the most ordinary breakfast had in a long time! Everything was ok but barely!! Coffee was drinkable but not great and the food was pretty bland. With so many choices it’s time to lift your game! Won’t be back for sure. So grumpy we went and had a coffee down the road at Mellow Me and that was fabulous!
Avoid this place for food. Ordered the smashed avocado on toast and two poached eggs. Can’t go wrong with that, you’d think!Eggs were actually cold, crumbled feta cheese tasted off, avocado tasted really average and toast was stale. Had two bites of meal and had to leave it.
Food is fine, but service is very very slow. I’ve had coffee there twice – great first time, but pretty sub par the second.
Service is slow, real slow, which is not compensated for by the food. It’s only ok.I’ve been here a few times (at least five since opening) and it hasn’t been bad food or coffee – but the service. Tried to circumvent the slowness by ordering at the counter – the place was empty and it still took the guy three minutes to stop shuffling paper and walk three steps. I was told I’d need to sit down … If he hasd’t used the special needs voice I might have stayed but it was three strikes. And i knew he could not JUST take my order without leaviing the menu, shuffling some more THEN coming back. (I had a flashback to trying to order coffee on the way a few weeks ago.)Much better, friendlier places in the area.Previously I’d had a cold breakfast once and another time (with colleagues but the place WAS empty) it took so long that our 45 minutes quick lunch vanished and we had trouble converting it to take away it was too hard a concept … It’s a shame because this place does ok weekend hours.
Fab new cafe. Been here twice now for dinner and brunch. Both times the cafe was pretty empty which is a shame. Fantastic food and friendly staff, too bad about the location. Wish they would move to Newington, closer to me. Turkish breakfast was amazing!
