Awful service! Went there on a Saturday evening and after being seated, waited 25 minutes to have order taken. The waitress could not understand English and the table next to us had to write their order down for her. Our meal took forever to arrive (it was only rice and corn chips with guacamole) and one meal was missing. Nobody around us was impressed with their service. Employ more staff! Would not recommend – only giving one star because I had to!
The food was just really bland. The only thing Mexican about the food was the appearance of the food but it didn’t have any flavour (let alone Mexican flavour). The chips were from a supermarket sort of huge bag of chips (I saw the staff pouring chips out from the bag to a plate), the bean taco hardly had any beans and was tasteless. The rice inside the burrito was watery and was smothered in sour cream and bland. We ordered guacamole which was a tiny bit of smashed avocado.The food came out late as well. Price is just like any other delicious Mexican place that make their own chips and tortilla. One thing I give is that the floor staff and bartender were friendly.
Mexica is a bar reataurant located in Olympic Park near the train station. The place is a little hidden, around the corner from the comm bank. There are a number of tables as well as bar seat and you can also grab a table outside. I was here mainly for a beverage, but also grabbed a bite to eat to line the stomach. The staff are friendly and provide good service.The bar is well stocked, there is a great whiskey selection and the prices are reasonable. The cocktails are pretty good to with the whiskey Margarita being a favourite.For a bit to eat I ordered the burrito which was a decent size filled with salad beans and choice of meat, I decided to go for the beef. The burrito was tasty and served its purpose.A great bar to visit before watching the footy or attending an event at Olympic Park. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
We come here often for a their amazing cocktails and drinks but we had dinner here for the first time last night and will be returning! Big servings and great taste!
Fine fast Mexican food, Mexica has a great atmosphere and is lively with fantastic food! Spicy this place does well, we will be back to try the rest of the dishes, although the menu is small it has variety and works! After picture as forgot before, should tell you something
Came on a Saturday night it’s a place that you won’t see unless you walk past it. It has outdoor seating,though limited outside. Staff are friendly and food came out at a reasonable rate. Prices are ok. Food wise though it’s not that good. The spiced apple juice tastes like cinnamon just added to apple juice,my pulled pork burger had barely any taste and my partners nachos are ok. Feels like the menu is limited I doubt I will be back
Not bad, taste was good but the serving size was small. The music was more like a top 40 Mexican version, a more traditional playlist would help. The chips and salsa was small, I have to say I don’t go in there thinking your going to come out stuffed as this is not the case. Personally I won’t be returning as there are better options close by.
