This cafe is in the Alliance Francaise building and seems to serve the Alliance’s activities rather than aiming at the general public – lots of people on courses (including lots of kids), people meeting for French conversation (which may be a good use), and staff seem to be French backpackers who are very slow but also very friendly. There’s a short menu, half of which is baguettes and the other half things like quiche. My baguette was tasty but pretty small and overpriced at $12.50. The interior is a bit noisy.
