Located in Skyview Shopping Plaza, this Thai dessert eatery has a nice mix of hot and cold desserts and drinks. I was attracted to this place as they have a lot of pandan and coconut based items which I love. Service is really nice.I had a Coconut Pandan Ice Cream 2 Scoops + All Toppings (chapayom crispy flower roll, sticky rice, nata de coco, roasted peanuts) and Sangkaya Pandan Custard Grilled Milky Bun. The ice cream was creamy and enjoyed each of the accompanying elements. The flower was nice and crunchy, sticky rice was tasty, the nata de coco was chewy and yummy, and peanuts added another crunchy texture. The bun was warm and had a nice pandan flavour to it. Really enjoyed and will be back!
This is a pretty okay place for Thai drinks and desserts. They have a Thai milk tea soft serve which was very good. I also tried their coffee and Thai green milk tea which was okay as well but there was a lot of ice. Service was relatively fast but there is very limited space to eat in so takeaway is best.
We stopped by abiut 9pm right as they were closing for the day. Luckily the staff were super nice and still fulfilled our Thai milk tea / green tea twist soft serve order.I enjoyed the jasmine green tea flavour though it’s quite floral so might not suit everyone (note that it’s not matcha). It reminded me of the numerous green tea lattes I had in Bangkok. In contrast, it was hard to discern any distinct flavour in the Thai milk tea part. I’m not sure if it was because the flavour was too mild or if it was because the green tea was just too strong.The texture was terrific – dense and creamy, almost like ice cream. If you like having your ice cream in a cone, Chapayom offers a unique deep fried flower wafer (biscuit?) that was a great alternative.Will definitely return for the green tea soft serve but also keen to try the rest of their dessert menu!
