Charc’s burst onto the fancy sandwich scene by preparing their own meats and the pastrami in my reuben was fantastic – smoky and nicely spiced but smooth and melted in the mouth. The reuben as a whole came together very well and I like how they offer “rookie” sizes for $10, so you don’t have to get a big sandwich, but that’s still expensive for what you get. For a couple dollars more elsewhere, you can get a much bigger reuben with thick slices of pastrami. At least you’re getting quality for the price. The coffee on the other hand is at the lower end of the price range but is also great – strong, hot, rich and creamy.
