Disappointing experience. I asked the staff member if I could have a bacon and egg slider without the egg. Staff member appeared exasperated by my order and yelled back What?! Repeated my order again and received a slider with just egg. Mistakes with orders happen but a simple can you say that again? would have been more appropriate.
La Petite has been my go-to breakfast spot since I started working nearby over two years ago. Extremely friendly staff who remember your name and order, as well as great coffee+food deals. The pastries and sweets are excellent too, and actually warrant the price tag.

No care in anything!. On first glance, I was looking forward to having my morning toast here. I mean, how could you go wrong? lovely fresh brasserie bread! However after I ordered my rye sourdough with Vegemite, I was immediately dissapointed. They had to ask me a total of 3 times what spread I was having on my toast…..Vegemite….not hard…..When I finally received my toast, I was given the wrong bread. Additionally, there was only a dollop of Vegemite in the middle of the bread (LITERALLY!!) and maybe a little scraping of butter on one side. It was disgusting, no one can eat a dollop of Vegemite like that, I had to throw it in the bin!Why should it be so hard to understand that Vegemite shouldn’t be 1 cm thick right in the middle of the bread? Surely they have had some practice!It simply shows they do not care at all!
Love this place. I go for the daily salads which are always different so a surprise each time. At only 8 dollars for a huge serve, that’s a city bargain. And the ingredients are not skimpy! I also adore seeing what is on offer from their home made style items which also change each day. I don’t eat bread so have not had an actual slider but who cares, the other makes up for it! 5 big gold stars here!
Rude staff disappointing. I actually like the food here but hesitate to buy lunch here often because one particular staff member is very rude and appears to be talking and making faces about customers to her colleagues whilst serving. Very unprofessional. What a shame as the food is nice and the price is reasonable. The terrible attitude of one worker does spoil it though.
