Located in the CBD, it makes for a convenient after work dinner spot. We booked using The Fork’s 50% off deal so decided to kick off the meal with cheese and meat board which was nice. For my main I got the Bolognese which was fine but considering the full price cost, a little underwhelming. Based on the recommendation of the friendly waitress, I got the cheesecake for dessert but was really too full to enjoy it but the base was beautiful.
I dined here on a Wednesday and used a $20 redemption from The Fork. We were offered free bread which was fresh and served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For entree we had the proscuitto and mozzarella. The proscuitto was thinly sliced and the mozzarella was creamy. For main, I had the special for the evening which was fusilli marinara. The sauce was so rich and delicious, i really enjoyed it. The pasta was cooked perfectly and there was plenty of seafood. The restaurant is small, intimate and not too noisy so good for catching up with friends. I would return again to try some of the other dishes.
Fantastic spot in the CBD for authentic Italian dining. A popular choice for the business lunching crowd! Began with the antipasti plate of prawns and calamari; the perfect introduction to whet the appetite! The house specialty Pappardelle Bolognaise is so beautifully constructed and rich with flavour, as is the house-made Spaghetti Mach2 pasta with prawns, zucchini, mint and a touch of chilli! Upstairs is light, bright and full of action as the chefs and waiters buzz about. Downstairs is intimate and chic, with a very attractive bar and exposed sandstone walls. It’s the sort of place you could imagine the Godfather dining in a quiet corner. One would be hard pressed to find better pasta in Italy! PS. If you are looking for a romantic spot you must request downstairs!
Came here for one of my long standing weekly lunch dates with a friend. Compared to the spaghetti at Buffalo Dining and my recent amazing trips to Italian restaurants, this place was sadly lacking. The food wasn’t bad, but neither was there anything to be wowed about. Didn’t quite like the diced zucchini, onion and tomato mixture – I’d rather some larger pieces of those for more texture. My friend liked her gnocchi. The sauce was pretty great apparently.
Came here for brunch. I got the corn fritters which came with bacon and avocados and my sister got pancakes. The service was good and we enjoyed our food.
