So disappointing – has fallen over the last few years. Last time I ordered a chicken karaage, which they heated up in the microwave. Got it back to my desk and the chicken was soggy from the microwave. There’s half a dozen better Japanese places nearby, so disappointing

I love Megumi Erskine St. Everything is tasty, and the free miso is a lovely bonus. The rice is perfect, not too much, flavoursome and not at all gluggy like some. My favourite is the rainbow roll and the crab roll. You can get a satisfying lunch for around $11 which is awesome. I could eat here everyday.

A little bit of a shame as I thought I might pick something up on my walk back to work, thinking I’ve found another hidden gem. A very pricey sushi venue with very little servings of sushi. The salmon sushi was so thin you could actually see the rice through the salmon. It wasn’t quite so fresh and overall quite disappointing for the price your paying. There’s many other sushi places in the area and this wouldn’t be the first on my list. eatventures.net

Not a huge fan of the food. Sushi is ok but not great. A bit on the pricier side and i feel theres more rice than sashimi in the rice rolls. Better choices out there for lunch.

  • Cinntonic

Huge range of sushi options for a very reasonable price. It’s a small shop with big food cabinets, good signage for prices. They offer raw, cooked and fried options… Too many choices!

  • Featured Eats

Sushi bar in the heart of Wynyard offering a wide variety of bento boxes, curries, and sushi. The sushi rolls are always a high quality with generous amounts of filling. What brings me back though is the huge variety of special nigiri they have on offer. It changes daily so go have a look!

  • The Cafe Ninja

Cheap Japanese food but smallish portions. Had an udon noodle soup. Took a while to make and they forgot the chicken. Won’t be going back any time soon…
