Had lunch with a friend. Unexpected Excellent food with reasonable price! Especially the dessert – tapioca pudding. Very elegant and tasty. I still have rose aroma in my mouth.
Located in Sydney’s oldest public building, The Mint. The setting is very traditional and you see it in the decor and setting. There is a choice of indoor or outdoor balcony seating which would be pleasant if not being a rainy day. Luckily we selected indoor seating. We were greeted warmly and seated in the private dining room (basically a smaller version of the main dining room). Service is always attentive but not overbearing.I had Duck & Shitake Pie (Sour Cream Pastry & Leaf Salad) and Shoe String Fries. To drink I had the Vault (Passionfruit, Watermelon, Cranberry Juice, Honey). The pie was tasty and definitely home made but it was quite expensive for what it was. The pastry was nice and flaky. The salad was nice but glad I ordered fries as not filling enough as is. Fries were nice and crunchy. The drink was awesome. Really fruity and refreshing.
