Very slow service and rude staff. Don’t not go here if you have under 25mins to wait for burnt toast or a sandwich. Not a good taste to all their food either. Taste’s like they don’t clean their sandwich press.
If you can handle the attitude of the staff, the random pricing and the chaos when trying to order/collect, you’ll be rewarded with scalding hot coffee and okay-ish food. Give it a miss.
This place is dead to me. It’s one of those dodgy sandwich joints that charges a different price for the exact same sandwich. The baldy guy there is the main problem. I ordered the same custom chicken sandwich every time with a very light scraping of their hot peri peri sauce which was always extra $. The last time I ordered it, he blatantly whispered to the girl to was making it to charge me $1.70 for the peri peri sauce. I corrected her so I wouldn’t be over charged. The final straw when I wanted 2 X plain whole meal rolls (given I should’ve gone to woolies for those) & the same guy charged $6 for the rolls that’s should be 80c each!!! What a joke.
The Premades. Definitely cooked and prepared ever single day of the week,,, soooo delicious.
Making Sandwiches. Square Sandwiches overall are good if you don’t give a toss about your food. I find only 2 of their staff capable and that is 2 of the guys, one who wears glasses and the other is tall. One staff member in particular does not listen, repeating yourself over and over and you’re still not heard – this is not a one-off. Others slap the sandwich together putting tomato next to the bread so by the time you get back to the office your bread is soggy. Toasted sandwiches aren’t toasted, except for the bread. If you want your cheese melted, you have to specifically ask since their toaster is crammed with every sort of bread or roll. If there’s a thick roll in it, your sandwich has no hope of toasting through properly. Get 2 toaster machines, one for rolls, one for bread. Try and anticipate your customer needs.
Delicious and healthy food. Very impressed with Square Sandwiches- the coffee was fantastic and the sandwiches and all the fillings were fresh and first rate quality- nutritious and delicious! The service was also first rate!
