Nice and numbing the food here is decent if you want to get a kick out of your daily lunch. Located inside the Weatfields food court this place specialised in Dry hot pot, which is a stir fry with meat and veggies but spicy. Love the Dry hot pot but the noodles were over done and soggy. Must get the Kung Pao chicken and rice … Worth the burn. asianfoodninja.com

This newly opened Sichuan place caught my eye and I had to give this a try. The food was ok but was very average. I got the beef, tripe, quail pot and this was super oily (as it usually is) and had good flavour in it. I couldnt see justification for it costing $20 though. Overall, it tasted ok but Id rather go to Chinatown to get a better version of this. Also got their teriyaki beef with egg fried rice. This was pretty average as well. The teriyaki sauce was way too rich and slobbed on top of the beef. We had to wipe off most of the sauce as this was way too salty to eat with the amount of meat provided. Also another $20 for this meal. Would probably give them a 2.5 if I could but since I cant Ill rate them a 2. Comparing this to another expensive fast food joint like din tai fung, this place falls short as the flavours are not there.

Not spicy enoughSuperfly is a Sichuan restaurant blending 7 types of chillis with spices to create their popular dishes – Wok Dry Fry Pots and Mai Cai. It is located in Westfields Pitt Street Mall with some on site seating and ample food court seating. To order, you mark your selection on a paper menu and pay at the cash register, you are then given a buzzer to pick up your order.I tend to eat with my eyes and I am a sucker for chilli food, so I decided on Sweet Potato Noodle with Beef with Fried Rice Cake.It didn’t take too long for the food to be ready. When I received my meal, I was already salivating from the sight and aromas of the soup and I could not wait to dig in. The Sweet Potato Noodle with Beef was not very spicy at all! I was pretty disappointed, however, I did enjoy the flavours of spicy, sweet, salty, and slightly sour from the soup. It was a little too oily for my liking. The preserved vegetables and the fried soy beans were a nice addition to the dish but the beans were only nice when eaten crispy. It was a big bowl, too much noodle and not enough beef. Some of the cubes of beef were melt in your mouth soft and other pieces were tough. It was marinated just right, not too salty. The Fried Rice Cake was a nice dish to finish off the meal. It was crispy, glutinous and not very sweet. I brushed off the top thinking it was extra brown sugar but it tasted more like crushed nuts. The brown sugar syrup was nice, not too much, just enough. If I wasn’t full from the noodles, I could have easily had more. It was yummy!Verdict: I would like to try more of the menu when I am in the area again, and hopefully it would be spicy. The Fried Rice Cakes are worth trying.

This place pride themselves for serving up flavours of SzeChuan, with a selection of dumplings, wontons and noodles to choose from. I ordered the spicy and sour potato noodles soup and some handmade dumplings. The noodle soup was alright, but I couldn’t taste the sour flavours very much. The dumplings were average. One other oddity was that they did not deliver the orders at the same time, I had a device that alerts me when the food arrives, but when I got there, only one of the dishes arrived – I asked where the other one was, they told me to wait and handed me back the device.
