Located on the lower ground floor in World Square. I was looking for something quick to go but felt like hot food instead of sushi. Although not usually a fan of bain marie or food under heat lamps, they did offer some tempting options. I was quickly served by a nice lady. I went with the Teriyaki Chicken With Rice as well as a Gyoza. Although plainly presented it was definitely a tasty on the go meal and pretty decently priced.
Locate in the middle of the corridor on the lower ground floor, it also has 7-8 seats around just for the customers.1 sushi roll was $3, 2 sushi rolls for $5.I ordered 2 rolls with tuna and avocado but I realised just after a bite that she made a mistake giving me one with cucumber instead of avocado, she politely changed.I ate rolls more tasty than these but I was starving so they were ok.
Sushi was average. Not a huge fan. What I did like was the teriyaki chicken udon, I mean I’ve had better udon but it had solid, punchy meaty flavour and the broth was full-bodied.
Barely passable for a sushi train restaurant. I find most of the dishes have to mush sauce that it overwhelms the delicate taste of the raw ingredient. I think they probably had too much Chinese influence and the Japanese component was lost. Aircon was way too high that it was freezing compare to outside. Friendly staff though.
Bit of a mix bag here as is often the case with a Sushi train. A few really good plates such as the pork balls and a few not so good. Sashimi plate was the pick over all. Quick, fresh and generally tasty.
