Yummm! Absolutely love this place and it’s always super packed during lunch so you have to make sure you’ve got a reservation.They have really good lunch specials where you get your choice of protein, rice, edamame, miso and fruit.They also have ones with sushimi if you’re extra hungry.Food is always fresh and flavoursome.Service is good and prices are pretty good as well.Would definitely recommend this place.It’s located within the ANZ building so is a bit hidden but once you find it, it’s definitely a gem.
Ive been to Sushi Tei a few times, the food was good. However my last two experiences were average, I ordered the sashimi & wagyu steak zen set for lunch and it took more than 45min to arrive. The beef also didnt taste wagyu and was very chewy. I went again as my friends wanted to try, even though the zen set was suppose to be an all day menu, the staff said it was not available and we had to order from the a la carte menu. Again the food was average, I didnt even feel like taking photos… Ill be hesitate to visit again.
Unfortunately my experience here doesnt live up to the 4.2/5 rating…super slow service and unfresh ingredients. The first dish (soft shell crab) took half an hour to come – no exaggeration, literally took that long. The sashimi wasnt that fresh, tuna was pretty tasteless and the quality of the shrimp was pretty horrible. The beef served with the sukiyaki wasnt fresh at all, it was all browned rather than red. It was super hard trying to get the attention of staff as well.
