Ultimate Vietnamese takeaway option from a food court near wynyard station. Be prepared this place can get busy but it is efficient with everyone given a number once they order whether you are eating in or taking away. The Vietnamese noodle salad with vegetarian spring rolls is my staple at $10.50 – you can add your own fried onion, chilli and lemon at the counter. You can also order the noodle salad with seafood spring rolls, pork, beef or chicken. The hot and spicy beef noodle soup is also a popular option. They have a great selection of rice paper rolls and everything else you would expect in terms of Vietnamese takeaway. Overall the food is fresh, varied and delicious!

I was extremely surprised because I never really liked eating at 259 George street due to the usual suspects found in eateries across the CBD. The pork rolls are delicious. Have I had better? Of course, but given I dont have the patience to walk to walk somewhere else Im not going to bother. The pho was not too bad with the broth having a surprising depth of flavour and plenty of rare beef added to make even the greatest Beef Meister blush in girlish delight. Another big win is the rice paper rolls filled with your choice of chicken, pork or seafood wrapped up lovingly with fresh herbs and vermicelli well worth a try with their dipping sauce.Another thing worth mentioning is the friendly service. These guys go so far as to explain their food to the noobs ina non condescending way, in which you can tell theyre actually passionate about their food.Eating at the Naughty Chef has definitely ensured Ill be visiting Eat@259 more often. iamnotafoodie.com.au
